I am the oldest of three siblings. If there is one thing I remember clearly from that time, it is the stains.
Stains don't wait for a washing machine.
Chocolate on a clean shirt before breakfast is even over. Grass on the knees five minutes after going outside. We always had a stain remover at home, but it never felt quite right. Too harsh for my siblings' skin. Too bulky to carry. Too slow when it really mattered.
So I started testing myself. Before we were satisfied, our formulas had been tried on more than 23 types of stains, on both cotton and polyester.
And stains are not just for children. It is the drop on your shirt at the dinner you have looked forward to for weeks. The spot you notice just before an important meeting, or on your way to work. Whatever your age, the feeling is the same.
Rain meets simplicity.
We asked what actually cleans in nature. The answer was simpler than we thought: rain. Nature's own way of washing things clean, simply and gently.
Rainola
The name was born from that thought. Just like rain washes things clean so simply, we wanted products that clean clothes, shoes and homes while being kind to the people using them.

From idea to launch
The idea is born
Could a stain remover be both gentle and strong enough to rely on? The question was asked one Christmas in Jönköping, and the first formula tests began.
Development begins
Formula after formula was tested at home in Jönköping, searching for the perfect balance between kindness and real function.

The company Rainola International AB was founded, V-Label vegan certification was secured and Rainola launches in Sweden.
